Young Gardener step 3

Remember the painting I started months ago? I am determined to finish it before I start another. :) I found a little time today to squeeze in some painting time so I started on the first washes on the clothes and the flowers.

I am calling this one finished. It was hard to get a good photo today because it's raining and grey out.

I worked more on building layers of colour in the boy's face. There is still more glazes of colour to go and subtle corrections in the shape of contours.

I finished the boy's hand and have started the first washes of colour on his face.

I finally was able to get back to this after working nights all weekend. The woman is mostly done. I just have some more washes to add to her hair and correct any details as I see them. I will be starting the boy next but will do his hand first (resting on her shoulder).
